I wasn't an academic success (to my dad's dismay). Admittedly I  was bit of wannabe rudeboy. But I was eager to get into the working world. I started off in a few basic  sales roles and somehow wiggled my way into interning at Canary Wharf Group PLC as a PA to their executive strategic advisor (BIG DEAL!). I like to think my professional life started here. I picked up a SH*T load of experience working on some big SHELL and QATARI DIAR projects and had a gut feeling that my future lied somewhere within business and strategy. It was also the first time someone had also said to me "Kiki, I see you running your own business one day".

After a few roles in sales I decided to embark on real estate investment education. This is where I met my first mentor who also said "Kiki, you should get into business!". From here I started two "mini" businesses (more like side-hustles) in property sourcing and providing real estate companies, with design services, a skill I picked up in school.

I was then headhunted to become VP of a PropTech startup, who we're selected by Colliers International to join the Techstars Accelerator in Toronto. We worked with North America's leading company C-Suite executives on everything from the companies business strategy, brand building, ops, sales, app development, marketing, PR, campaigns & a crazy amount more. This was now the third time I was told "Kiki, you can run your own business".

This is where the experience got even more real. I was privileged to work with and learn from some of the greatest minds from top leading companies across North America.

After being hounded, I took the plunge. I started my own PROPER business. I founded 9 Designs in 2017, which initially was a branding agency servicing a niche real estate clientele.

But as the years went on, my lifestyle, perspectives and priorities have changed.

I've became more aware of the pressing issues our societies and environment faces.

I realized as a thought-leader in the world of brands, I have a BIG responsibility towards recognizing the integral role of brands, in the future of the people and the planet.

So, I decided to put all my knowledge, experience and expertise and pivot the business to focus on building brands which made more of a positive impact.

I embarked on a serious mission:

To build 1000 profitable positive impact brands. 🌟

Now, we're not shying away from making a profit.

Normally people think "sustainability" "impact" means ZERO profit.

I believe that profit and impact can coexist.

And the brands we've build have proven that.

As well as many leading SME brands today.

That's what I want to be apart of now.

So, today, In my day-to-day I'm a brand strategist.

I help businesses to formulate an actionable brand strategy and I work with your team to actually IMPLEMENT it too.

It's my job to solve your key business and brand problems, bring clarity to the confusion, get your whole team aligned and excited with your vision and really take your business to that NEXT LEVEL!

I do it all through my workshops and private one-to-one consulting.

Whilst having some FUN

Because, gosh, there are some right boring people in this industry 😴

My goal is to help each business I work with build a profitable, STANDOUT and impactful brand.

Throughout my teens I was really into mixing Punjabi music. One of my YouTube videos has more than 1+ million views - LINK HERE! My stage name was DJ Kay Ess ("K" & "S") 🤣.

I perform strategy with one eye...literally. 😅 In 2015 I lost central vision in my right eye through a retinal detachment. Which essentially made me blind in the right eye, being able to see only peripherally. But this really made me appreciate my life because it reminds me to value the gift of sight.
